While it's hard to find compatibility standards for Shimano freehub bodies, the RM33 freehub body does not seem to be the replacement for the RM40

A few different sites list the RM33 as working with the RM30 hub.

Shimano North America was unable to confirm that they are interchangeable as there is no official cross compatible freehub chart.

The outer dust seal is integrated into the freehub body itself and is included.
