The Shimano XT M756 is the
classic mountain disc hub. Its affordability mixed with durability, weight, and minimal rolling resistance makes this the ultimate hub for building reasonable priced and great quality wheelsets. Though newer generations of this hub are available, Shimano continues to offer this one. Here's why:
- Loose ball bearings hubs create fast rolling wheels with very minimal resistance; smooth finish borozon treated races help to further minimize friction.
- Double-contact seals keep the bearings clean from dust and dirt. Though these hubs are easily rebuildable, you won''t have to do it often.
- The disc rear hub helps minimize dish in the rear wheel, allowing for a stronger wheel with more equal spoke tension.
Features:
- Quick release is included
- 9/10 speed freehub body
- International Standard 6-bolt 44mm BCD disc brake rotor mount

A.
anwered by: canteau
Unfortunately, Shimano does not list the points of engagement for their hubs, I do know that the newer Shimano hubs do have a quicker engagement than the older XT-M756.

Recently purchased these for front and back. Do you what type of rim/spoke length ?
A.
anwered by: canteau
Spoke length is determined by both the hub and the rim combination. Once you decide on a rim that matches the same spoke count as the hubs you purchased you can use one of the following spoke calculators:
