asked by: a guest do they work with cantilever brakes ? thanks Dennis
A.
anwered by: canteau They will not, cantilever brakes use short pull levers and the Paul Love Levers are for long pull brakes. Paul does make levers with the same shape as the Love Lever for short pull brakes which can be found here:
I love these levers. The size and short pull is great for someone with smaller hands. I don't miss modulation at all and feel like I have plenty of power for my Avid BB7's. They also look great!
This is a simple, well-machined, elegant lever -- pricey, to be sure, but perfect for a certain kind of bike. Single-speeds, for instance, may benefit from the simplicity. (I've got these powering my Avid BB-7 disk brakes.)
Braking power is perhaps not up to the much cheaper, but must uglier, Avid brake levers that match the BB-7. But the simplicity and elegance are a powerful argument. And braking is pretty good too.
These are expensive because they're hand-machines. Some evidence of the machining -- the odd twist of shaved metal -- was evident here and there. But I'm satisfied with them.
