The cage adds a bit more support for the front outer edge of my foot, which is nice in hard cornering. However, the durability is lacking. During a rather routine, low-side crash the nut/cap on the outside edge (see the round yellow sticker in the picture) broke free and stripped the stud when the pedal clipped the ground. The pedal is still 100% functional, though the outer edge of the cage now is rattling freely. They are "OK" pedals, but I expected them to be a lot more durable.
