The mounting hardware is more complicated than it needs to be. Considering I put these on a Surly Cross Check, which is drilled to accept pretty much anything at all, it's a bit embarassing that these fenders didn't go straight on without any fuss at all. That being said, they do what they are supposed to do: install and remove quickly, block water and grime off the wheels. 2 stars for quality, 1 for value=3 stars total.
I bought this for my 1980's vintage 12-speed commuter. Surprisingly, the hardware and instructions are intended for bikes without rim brakes.
The rear fender fit snug and works using the clips on the seat stay bridge. The clips deform a bit because of my rear brake bolts, but it looks like it will hold long term. This fender is much wider and has better coverage than the old Zefal plastic clip-on fenders that I had used for years, and should be able to accommodate tires much wider than 25mm.
The metal front fender clip is not compatible with my Campy side-pull brake bolts, so I will have to think about making a custom bracket for the front fork.
