I bought the rack because I needed high and low rider mounts and a platform rack for a decalure bag, plus disc brake compatibility. After buying and installing:
1. I don't need the high-rider mounts. My 700x42 tires provide plenty of ground clearance in the low rider position even for seriously rough terrain.
2. The rack is extremely adjustable. I was able to place it just on top of my front fender, right where I want it.
3. It is exceptionally rigid - the rack does not flex even with heavy panniers while climbing out of the saddle.
4. The forward fender mount is a very convenient place to mount a dynamo headlight.
