mznb1uI bought these pedeal as my first clip in pedals. I like the fact that I can clip out and use the platforms when I am in an area where there is a lot of activity and I might have to stop quickly. Also great for jumping on the bike and running around the neighborhood without haveing to put your riding shoes on. I have about 250 miles on them so far and have been very happy with them. Others have mentioned that the platform side is slippery--I have not noticed that issue but I am usually riding with some type of athletic shoe.

my2handsGreat pedals. I have them on my 1983 Schwinn Prelude Single Speed. It serves and shares the role as a grocery / coffee shop / commuter / wandering ride / bar bike and these pedals work for it all. I use the SPD side when I commute on it and the platform when I'm swerving back from the bar. No but seriously, they are solid, durable, and convenient pedals.

A GuestLove these pedals. Good for when you want to tool around on your bike but also great for longer rides when you want to clip in. I pair these with some Pearl Izumi mountain shoes on my touring bike so I have the option and comfort of shoes that I can walk in if I need to.

A GuestI've been using my cycling shoes for about 4 yrs now, but only at a spin class in the gym; this is actually my first time to use cleats on the road with an actual bike, as I just recently got hooked to the cycling-fever on the road. At the onset, I was apprehensive knowing that some first-time riders have a difficulties in getting on & off the pedal; it's not only embarrassing when you fall but it's never a pleasant feeling at all.
Surprisingly, it seem easier then I thought. I was able to get in & out of the pedals with ease, but make sure to turn the tension down towards the minimum (- sign) or turning counter clockwise. I would definitely recommend this item to bike enthusiast as it improves speed and power to about 20-30%. For the days that you just want to go for a quick spin, you can use any kind of regular shoes (but preferably shoes with a little traction to avoid slipping when wet), as you can always flip the pedal to the flat side.

A GuestI have these and Shimano M324 dual sided pedals. These are so much better. They are half the weight. Your foot will slip a bit more than on the 324's, but this isn't an issue if used for road riding.

A GuestThe pedals were easy to install & use, even though I had never used clip-ons before. The quality is excellent. I already had compatable shoes for mounting the clips & followed the instructions with no problem.

rodchew23Not lightest nor heaviest if that matters to you. Have ridden about 1,000 miles on it so far. It's great for the dual duty of commuting and wearing casual shoes to being able to clip in for longer weekend rides. I've developed a creak in the pedals that occur during the bottom of the pedal stroke. Mildly annoying but there nonetheless.

A GuestThese are very nice, well built pedals.
The only concern I have is that the platform (non-spd) side does not grip as well as most standard platform pedals. This isn't a problem when wearing sneakers (which have sticky soles themselves)in good conditions, but it means that your foot can slip off the platform more easily if the pedals are wet, or if you're riding in dress shoes (leather soles) or using the platform with your SPD shoes (e.g. you haven't clipped in yet). My Pearl Izumi mountain shoes, at least, seem to slide all over the platform-side because the rubber on the sole is not as grippy as that on a standard sneaker.

A GuestGreat versatile pedals. If you’re wearing SPD shoes and pedal the platform side the cleats fit nicely in the void allowing for comfortable pedaling. High quality appearance.
