These are very unique tires. I've been riding them on a single speed road bike for about a year and a half now. Super fast, smooth center band. Nice knobby shoulder. Great on road while going in a straight line, but be careful how far the frame leans while cornering fast on pavement. Transitions to off road with out any issues, especially if you lean the bike a little more in corners. These would be, in my opinion, the perfect tire for cruising dirt roads. I have however taken them on smoother single track as well. I used them to commute back and forth to classes on not very well kept roads (lots of gravel during the winter). They were great because it is very difficult to get a pinch flat while running these tires.
