These chainring bolts are for the inner chainring (64bcd chainring on a mountain triple) If you are going to be using a Race Face narrow-wide 30t threaded chainring you will want to use the Wolf Tooth chainring bolts which are a shorter 10mm length.

These long chain ring bolts were indeed problem solvers.
