A GuestI bought a used wheelset and found tires were impossible to mount by thumb pressure or with tire levers. After much struggling and frustration, I went to the computer, searched for tips, and found a recommendation for the Kool-Stop Tire Bead Jack.
Wow! What a tool! In only a few minutes I had both tires mounted. Without this tool I would likely be arguing with the wheelset seller regarding a return (obtained via a famous auction site and marked "no returns").
I use one of my bottle cages to carry a tube, mini-tool, etc. The Kool-Stop Bead Jack has been added. Haven't had a flat yet, but when it eventually happens I'll smile as I use this tool to quickly re-install the tire, whether it's on the just-obtained wheelset or one of my others (possible to use thumb pressure on those, but it's still a struggle).

tra...@gm...l.comI have a couple of recumbents with narrow 20" front tires. This tool has made changing tires/flats so much easier and faster.

rfg...@be...h.netFor tough to remove tires this tool is a must have.
When tire levers won't do the job, Kool-stops tool will.
For some mountain bike tires that are stubborn and hard to remove or even old tires that are petrified and won't flex, this tool works great.

gg-madoneIf you have put new tires on, you know how frustrating setting that last section of bead is. This is a knuckle and time saver. best tool cheat. after taking off and putting on the same tire this tool won't be necessary but it will save you time.

diadiukThis tool helped me put on the toughest tire I have ever encountered!
It saved my thumbs & many tubes.
It's superb!

mneil68I've had this tool for two years, and have told several friends about it. Especially helpful for brand new tires that tend to be very tight to get on the rim. No more pinched tubes! The handle is quite long, but I cut half of one of mine off (with a Dremel tool) so i could easily carry the tool with me in a jersey pocket. It still works even with a shortened handle. Get one.

A GuestHad tube with slow leak was dreading taking off the tire as last time I snapped levers and had a horrible time.
This worked SO well, I was done in under 3 minutes. Previously it was an hour hassle.
Loved TreeFortbikes price matching, conditional free shipping, handling of a backorder and customer service.
They are my new favorite shop since Supergo!

A GuestThis is it. If you just can't get a tire on and are looking for the cure-all, you've found it. This thing is great, at first you'll think it's going to be fragile and break, but it's been holding up fine for me.

A GuestOMG. Where has this tool been all my life? One year ago starting converting my road wheels to tubeless. I don't have Stan's thumbs of steel. His videos make it look so easy mounting a road tubeless tire. I've struggled. Broken or bent many a tire lever and had sore thumbs for months. Just mounted two Hutchinson Intensive tubless road tires with just my hands and used the tire jack for the last few inches of the tire beads. No tire levers used.
