The new TS-2.2 is the same truing stand that we, along with just about every other shop use right on our own benches. Ever had a wheel trued? Every bought a new bike? Chances are those wheels have seen this stand. It's that good.
Easy to use, setup and fits just about anything on the market, you no longer have a reason to have egg shaped wheels. The only thing the stand doesn''t come with is the experiences and skill of truing.
- Accepts wheels up to 29" with or without tire
- Accepts hub widths up to 175mm
- Removable/replaceable composite caliper tips protect painted rims
- Stronger, more comfortable knobs
- Uprights move simultaneously to accommodate front and rear wheels
- Spring-loaded calipers and caliper arm prevent binding
- Nickel chrome plated heavy gauge steel
- Can be bench mounted or installed in a bench vice
The Park TS-2.2 does come from the factory pre-centered but shipping to Tree Fort Bikes and from Tree Fort Bikes to you can result in the stand needing to be re-centered. Also with normal use the stand should be re-centered on a regualar basis.
To re-center the truing stand the Park #1554-1 T-Gauge is required and can be found by searching for part number 333222357938
Stands that arrive not centered are not covered by Parks lifetime warranty as is it a normal adjustment.

pgaldonesGreat product from Park as expected. I've wanted one for a very long time. It may be pricey, but it's worth it for the quality.
The product, itself, is definitely 5 stars. However, I'm knocking out 1 star because I think Park should include a calibrating gauge because I received mine not calibrated properly. I had to order the gauge so I can do the calibration.
You can also use properly dished wheel to check for calibration. You will need a dishing tool to do this. Do not assume a brand new wheel is properly dished.

old_skol43I've built over 500 set's of wheels. About 450 for the old shop I worked at. For my stuff and friends and family, I used to lace up a set and put them in the frame or fork to finish. I'd become good at it. But with my newest set of wheels, I had to adjust the canti's of my old CC bike. That was enough to buy a "real" truing stand. I think it is "out of dish", but working at a shop and with the old ts-1, that was always out of dish, and not fixable, I got into a habit of flipping the wheel to check for dish. I also have a dishing tool I use to check after all is said and done. The build is top of the line. Will last forever if you take care of it. The plastic guards are nice, but not nessesary. I wish it came with a base. The old steel or aluminum one. The plastic one works nice but is fragile.

polekVery nice stand to true wheels in the comfort of one's home. Maybe, overkill for that purpose, but again, very convenient.
I skipped the base option, and simply attached it temporarily to WorkMate table with couple of Festool clamps I had already, and it was very securely mounted, and as extra bonus, I could easily adjust the height of the rig.
Stand came in very un-centered state from factory and immediately required adjustment, but half an hour later, was providing automatic reliable wheel dishing.

adamdddaveGreat stand. Came out of the box out of dish, but not hard to fix with an in-dish wheel. Personally, I actually like the old knobs, but these work fine. Would recommend the plastic base with the stand.

skitso69If you ride more then once a week this tool is a must have! It is $25 per wheel were I live and it take them 3 days to get it back to you. Not only are my wheels always on my bike they are straighter then if I dropped them off at the pro shop. It could be a bit better though. I have to use the Park 1554-1 T-Gauge for Centering Truing Stands ALOT but its still worth it.

A GuestWhat can I say, it's the standard in the industry and works like a charm. And the price is great.

A GuestFabulous, the best wheel truing stand available. If you are an occasional user and don't want to permanently mount the stand; or just don't want to buy the optional tilt stand, and want to store it most of the time, I have a great solution: use a board to go through the base (I happened to have a 3/4" x 2 1/2" board as long as my table), then clamp the ends of that board to a table with a c clamp on each end of the board (vastly quicker to do and much more elegant than the preceding description).

pac...@ss...v.netGood price, great service. You kept me informed and it arrived on time.
I'm finally using a real truing stand.
Throw away the piece of crap you are trying to use and get the real thing.

wkilburgAt first the TS-2.2 Truing stand seems a bit complicated, maybe a bit overboard but then you get it mounted and settle in and if you are like me you throw every spare wheel you have on it checking for true while also learning and understanding how to best use it.
Like all Park tools its build solid, like a tank. The mounting base is a bit ghetto. More thought here would have helped but they want to sell the companion base for $30 more so you get a crappy mount. Thats the only downer. It's pretty easy to use, the adjustments are easy in use and provide all you need and then some. As a home mechanic I can see passing this thing down through generations. It's what I wanted and it has worked flawlessly so far but really its a simple device; it would be hard to mess it up.

A GuestLove it, only one that take the 29er wheels with the tire on. knobs are better than the TS-2 also.
Price here was awesome, with free shipping!!

thunderpoochgreat product. no complaints. also the price was lower than the competitors. I could ooh and awe, but it simply just works perfectly. nothing more to say.
the plastic tips are a very nice feature. No longer do you have to be shy and oh so careful when truing. it doesn't hurt nor even scratch the rim surface like old truing stands.
5 out of 5

Tip_JohnsonArrived un-centered! Obviously it was not adjusted at the factory as advertised; the shaft adjusting collars were 1/4" away from the uprights. Properly centering the arms requires a trued & dished wheel and the optional centering gauge, neither of which I have. I have used earlier Park truing stands years ago when I worked as a mechanic at several bike shops. They're great stands when properly adjusted.
