TurboDream17By all means this seat is in no way, shape, or form "soft," but the shape of the seat is great and it has been nothing but comfortable for me from day one. It looks great too!

geetlordIt took about a week for it to break in, but now it is as comfortable as anything else I've ridden on.

A GuestI have this seat mounted on my Rawland Drakkar, do-it-all bike. I've ridden this setup as a road bike, cx bike, dirt road bomber, and off-road trail bike. This seat takes it all with style and comfort. The break-in period goes faster than you'd expect.

ubaldoI bought the apple green and it looks awesome! I can't wait to watch it darken with age.

ramanyAfter doing a lot of 'research' I took the dive with the antique brown. It took some adjustments before it felt 'right' but now I can't praise this saddle enough! It is the most comfortable thing, so slick and frictionless! After a few hundred miles it's obvious that this saddle is def worth the money. I now am thinking about getting the Imperial (with the cutout). Thanks Treefort!

dp14635Great product. This is my 2nd Brooks saddle. This one is taking a little longer to break in and I am getting used to it. I am using it with a suspension seat post and works out great. awesome ride and comfort all the way.
Down side is that that break in period for this saddle seems to be longer than my brooks flyer saddle for some reason. Also as with all Brooks saddle its not water proof.

jenrightThis seat was comfortable from the first. After only a hundred miles, I doubt it is really "broken in", so I'm looking forward to even greater comfort in the future. I don't like a soft saddle. Sinking into the padding causes discomfort that begins after I dismount. I normally ride a more narrow, board-hard saddle. The B17 gives me more support and more comfort. It's a win-win for me.
This saddle is on my commuter. I plan to go to a B17 narrow for my racing bike as soon as finances permit. I think the narrower profile will allow for easier maneuvering during hard riding, but as I said above, I prefer a narrower saddle (at least until I rode the Brooks).

bulldog1935I rode through two Unicanitors before I softened to a Concor, and and finally a Terry TFI. Even though it's three times the weight of the others, I'm not going to list the weight of this saddle as a dislike. I was instantly impressed with the comfort. The saddle broke in well, and I'm even more impressed with the comfort. Now that I've changed my bars, and I'm sitting up higher, the standard shape is perfect. Mine's blue - it looks good.

jos...@gm...l.comI love Brooks saddles. I bought this blue B17 to replace a Brooks sprung saddle, which I moved back on the mountain bike I originally had it on. The saddle is epic in any color, but the electric blue is particularly awesome.

A GuestGreat saddle at a great price. I've heard that Brooks saddle take some time to break in, and that seems to be the case. But it still seems to be comfortable enough for me and the look of it on my retro '78 Trek mountain bike is killer.

lyons55Like everyone has said, it is firm but still pretty comfortable from day one. Can't wait for it to break in.
One tip is to make sure you point the nose of the saddle up enough. You would probably notice if you hadn't but it will keep you from sliding too far forward into an uncomfortable position.

catharsolusMan, I never would have believed a leather saddle would be more comfortable than a padded one. But I bought a B17 to replace my old Specialized and was amazed at the difference. My old saddle would start causing me discomfort after about 40 miles. With the Brooks I just keep on pedaling. Excellent product that lives up to the manufacturer's claims. I would encourage any long-distance tourers to give it a try.

A GuestI've been riding a B17 for 8 years essentially every day on my commuter. Literally thousands of miles. I originally got it and broke it in training for my first TOSRV ride. It was great for those back to back 100 mile days and has stayed great.
I've changed bikes several times, but kept the seat.
Recently I started to wonder if the seat was really that comfortable, so I took a ride on a friend's bike with a plastic/foam seat. All I'm gonna say is I'll never ride a plastic seat again.

A GuestThis is a great saddle once you break it in. You should buy a rain cover and the saddle proof with it though. It will help break in your saddle and keep it going for years to come.

A GuestI have ridden on a Brooks saddle since the early 70's and when I got this new-to-me bike I wanted another and have not been disapointed. I like the honey color, it goes well with my purple bike (lsu FAN). I am thinking of sendin my 40 year old in for re-leathering,its getting a little long.

A GuestI'll never be happy on a saddle that isn't a Brooks, case closed.

sbledsoeI had heard that the Brooks saddles took a little time to break in, but I immediately appreciated the difference a Brooks saddle makes: so amazingly comfortable! I've had it only a few weeks and already I don't think I could ride anything else. It sounds ridiculous, but I'm going to need one for all of my bikes. The price at Tree Fort was incredible.
