Yes. The seatpost comes with, I believe, three different elastomers (soft, medium, and hard) so you can pick and choose depending on how the post feels and your riding style.

Used for an 8hr endurance mtn bike race. Worked great! I couldn't feel the motion, but knew that it was softening thousands of small impacts. Made the 8hrs of saddle-time much easier to endure.

This is among the best shock-absorbing seat-posts made. As others have noted, you don't actually "notice" it working, but it definitely smooths your ride. Very nice also that it comes in a 400mm length as I've been riding at the limit of my stock 350mm seat-post and was happy to get another inch for my long legs.
