A.
anwered by: canteau Most of the multi speed chains like the KMC X-10 Ti are going to come with 116 links and are designed to be shortened to fit your bike using a chain tool like the Park CT-5.

asked by: a guest Would this work on a single speed setup ex; BMX with short backend and 28/9 gearing?
A.
anwered by: canteau Most likely this will not work with a BMX bikes as the links will be too narrow, but it will really come down to the compatibility of the chainring and rear cog.
Traditionally track, BMX and cruiser bikes use a wide 1/8", single speed mountain and road bikes use a 3/32" (7/8-speed) chain with some newer chainrings working with narrower 9-speed or 10-speed chains.
Any chain you buy will be longer than you will need it and will need to be shortened with a chain tool.

asked by: a guest KMC and other sites show this chain as 116 links. if it isn't, 29ers will have issues.
A.
anwered by: canteau The chain is 116 links, if you need a chain longer than that SRAM offers a couple chains in 120links. Generally most bikes need between 112 and 114 links

If you are looking for a strong, durable chain this is it. I am a larger rider at 6'3" and 220 lbs, and I run this chain on my 6.5" enduro bike. This chain has taken a beating on the toughest trails in the Pisgah forest and still shifts like it was brand new. I recommend this chain to everyone.
I love this chain, have had it for a long time and with regular cleaning still shifts like new... awesome chain, when the time comes I will definitely get another one.
