Couldn't get mounting strip tight enough around handlebar. Needed to pad handle bar with additional strip of rubber to prevent water bottle cage from rotating forward when full water bottle was in cage.
Make sure you insert screw for mounting bracket from correct side otherwise it will strip out and mounting bracket becomes useless. Guess how I know, had to buy another one.
