The Continental X-King has become a popular mountain bike tread pattern since it was introduced. The knobs are shaped to allow the tire to be fast rolling, but are tall enough and spaced wide enough to grip in loose soil conditions. These are also the same characteristics that make a great 'cross tire.
The X-King Race Sport Cross tire is designed with the ''cross racer in mind. The 32mm casing meets the UCI requirements for tire width, while the Race Sport casing provides 30% better flat protection than Supersonic models. To round things out the X-King Cross has a 180tpi casing and Black Chili rubber for grip.

Have always had good luck with conti tires. rode 100 miles over a weekend on a crushed gravel trail. fun times had by all!! tires handled great. was able to step on it if someone got a wild hair and took off. the tires rolled great!
