The
SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes use the reliable design of the Guide brakes, but move from an All Mountain/Enduro focused 4-piston design to a traditional 2-piston design suitable for XC and Trail use. By moving from 4 to 2 pistons
SRAM is able to reduce the size of both the caliper and lever to reduce system weight on the
Level disc brake when compared to the comparable
Guide disc brake.
SRAM uses the same Bleeding Edge bladder design to make bleeding the system a quick and easy process. Level brakes come pre-bled with SRAM DOT 5.1 fluid that provides a higher boiling point over older DOT 4 fluid.
SRAM Level TLM disc brakes are replacing their X0/X01 level Elixir brakes and share the same lever and caliper shape design as the
Level Ultimate disc brakes but trade out the Ti hardware, alloy backed pads and carbon lever for a little bit of increased weight, but is still 25g lighter than the Guide RSC.
On the lever side of the
Level TLM, SRAM uses a forged aluminum lever blade, stainless hardware and bushing for a smooth and consistent level pull.
SRAM's Direct Link pull ratio provides even power through out the entire lever stroke.
Level Ultimate brake levers are compatible with
SRAM Matchmaker and MMX shifters, lockout levers and remotes. Level Ultimate levers can be used on the Right or Left side depending on your braking preference.
The
Level TLM Caliper is also all new featuring a Monoblock 2-piston design. The 1 piece forged design dissipates heat better with increased stopping power over a 2-piece caliper design. Level TLM disc calipers come with
SRAM Organic Compound pads with steel backing plates.
