The higher thread count (TPI) tire is lighter weight and has a more supple casing, meaning the tire has a smoother feel over rough terrain, at the expense of a less durable sidewall.

Expensive, but if you have ice on your trails they are worth it. I can climb 20-30% grades without slipping on slick ice.

Well worth the obscene price. These tires will allow you to ride on rutted, bumpy ice that you couldn't even walk on.

Nice. I live in SE Wisconsin, and this year most of the trails are covered in ice over hard pack. There would be problems without the studs. They are light and supple. I have only lost 3 studs so far.
