a.wilsonI just put these on my 1985 touring Cannondale to replace the older tri-color Shimano 600 levers that had been on the bike. Wow, what a big improvement! The levers are very ergonomic, as are the hoods. The hoods are a tad chunky, but I think they're comfortable because of that. The built in quick release is a great idea. Not to mention that they stop very smoothly!

A GuestHad these for a couple years. I have no car, so I ride year round in Minnesota and these levers get abused. Well, the other day the outer plastic piece cracked and broke off around the main pin where the lever pivots. Now, the lever can just pop right out of the handle.
I don't want to deter anyone from buying these, because they're perfect for the price. I have smaller hands, but I love these wider grips and I can just keep buying them at this price. I've completed bike tours with these: 72 miles in one day without gloves, and I have no problems out of the ordinary. But, if you're going to be far, far from home, be warned.

mrk...@me...e.comI was in between these and the cheaper Tektro levers. I talked to Adam @ Tree Fort and ended up going with the CC levers. I'm glad I did. They have a bigger base which works well for my larger hands. I could do without the little squiggly lizards all over, but I like that I can switch the hoods out for the brown ones down the line if I want to.

A GuestGreat levers, nice wide flat surface on top, quite grippy. Much nicer than my circa 1986 levers that the cables came out the top

catharsolusVery well designed in the ergonomic sense. Rubber hoods are thicker than my previous levers and offer more hand comfort as a result. Quick release is a blessing for roadside repair and adjustment. Very "snappy" spring response results in quicker, smoother stops. Handsome design as well looks good on my bike.
