It's an O-ring grease, Cane Creek doesn't list what type of lubrication is in the base of it.

My AD-5 shock went bad (would lose air pressure in about 20 seconds) & I could not find a new one anywhere online. I accidentally stumbled on this seal kit - worked awesome!!! The directions that come with the kit are ok but I took my time and had the shock off my bike, rebuilt, and was back pedaling in about 30 minutes. Hopefully, I'm good for another 15 years.

Tree fort bikes shipped the Cane Creek Seal kit, AD-5 Rear Shock kits super fast. It had all of the components and then some, that were needed to repair the AD-5 shock and it is working great now. Thanks for offering this product at an affordable price!
