By adding the Thudbuster rear suspension you'll ride faster, longer, and stronger with better traction, more control, and less fatigue. The performance, relative low weight, and simplicity make it the best suspension upgrade you can make to your hardtail. Based on a patented parallel-linkage design, the Thudbuster LT provides up to 3 inches of active stiction-free travel. Unlike telescoping suspension posts, there is no initial stiction to overcome—the suspension mechanism works in the direct path of the natural travel of the rear wheel. The elastomers provide the compression and rebound damping, and can be easily exchanged to tune the suspension. Cane Creek Thudbuster LT suspension seatpost wiht 75mm of travel Thudbuster LT

A GuestIn general I like the Thudbuster LT a lot. It made a huge difference on my hardtail on small bumps where you are typically on the seat vs large bumps when you get off the seat anyway. I'm on my second LT after about 5 years of use. The bushings started getting a little squeeky. I have purchased Thudbusters for other bikes in our family as well. Good product, I believe it is made in USA but I'm not positive on that. I prefer made in USA whenever possible.

A GuestThis is an awesome way to live with a hardtail, without having to move up to full suspension initial costs and repairs. It really works well for what it is. Let's face it, we can't all go buy any bike we want. This item takes a mid to higher end hard tail to the next level for much less money than taking the plunge with full suspension.

A GuestI bought my Thudbuster LT on recommendations from two friends. I put it on my old hardtail Rockhopper a week before heading to Colorado for the first time and it worked great! I was able to stay seated over some very rocky terrain and was able to save my legs for the massive climbs.
It won't give you the same effect as a full suspension bike, but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a more comfortable ride out of their hardtail for a low price.

A GuestI like my Thudbuster a lot. I put it on my Salsa Mukluk and it softened my ride just right. Not too mushy not to hard, it was just what I was looking for.

TukwutI put this on my single-speed 29er. It takes the edge off the trail chatter when seated. Definitely worth the 7oz weight gain.

gnx18First time customer here. Initially spoke to Aaron over the phone and he gave me a discount. Thumbs up! Very nice guy to deal with. Highly recommended place.
As for the Thudbuster LT, a great product, made a huge difference on my 2011 Diamondback Overdrive Hardtail 29er. Now I have a very comfortable ride.

A GuestBecause of back and wrist pain I ride no hands, sitting straight up 90% of the time on my flat, railtrail commute to work. I bought the TB on a recommendation from a bike shop to reduce the jarring on my back when going no hands. It works very well for this. So well I bought one for my wife. I use the softest elastomer.

seraphan6I love this thing! It has made so many miles more comfortable for me. I've paired it with a Brooks B17 on my commuter/light touring bike based on an old aluminum GT Backwoods MTB frame. Worth every penny.

A GuestTree Fort was a nice place to deal with. They did their best to accommodate me..
Regarding the ThudBuster, The several different spring rate combinations and replaceable bushings make it a winner.

A GuestI purchased this to smooth out the ride of my big dummy. I can't believe that I didn't buy one of these sooner. I'm going to order a second one for my hardtail 29er. It's great to take the edge off of bumps and I do not notice it's there when I'm riding. Overall a great product.

A GuestThis post rocks. Hardtails climb much better than full suspension (unless you're riding a rear shock with brain technology) but take their toll in jarring. This post smooths out the ride without robbing you of the hard work you put into pedaling. I switched from 26" full suspension to 29" hardtail, got bounced all over the place, then added this post. What a difference. I'll never go back!

A GuestGreat product! I do not get sore anymore.
Only thing is that if you have a large frame that barely fit to your posture...you need to consider the seatpost height 'cause it adds 140mm from the seat frame to the bottom of the seatpost entrance...I wish my frame size was about 1 to 1.5 inch smaller...that would have been perferct for my MTB.
My bike is 20.5 size...wish it was about 19 or even 18...well depending on your brand...they offer different sizes...
It is fine on the road but a little too big to handle on the trail. Ysu need the smaller frame so you can handle better on uphill and all.
