Cannondale
2011 Supersix HI-MOD Team
Ride in the style of the Team Liquigas-Cannondale pros on the supersix HI-MOD team. Tricked out in all of Cannondale's finest accoutrema, this bike is ready to go fast. Aero enough for a time trial, plenty stiff for a criterium, and more than light enough to leave your competition whimpering on steep ascents, this do all steed is the business. The big talking point of this ride is the HI-MOD carbon, Cannondale''s stiffest and lightest composite. It''s hard with Carbon sometimes to achieve a balance of lightweight and structural stability, but with this high-end composite you get the best of both worlds with the frame weighing in at just 890g! Visualize the alps, smell the espresso, and get ready to drop the hammer.

mcgspI was looking for a new bike and I centered on the Look 595, Pinarello Paris and the Trek Madonne 6.9. The Cannondale was not even on my radar. But the owner of the bike shop suggested I take a test ride on a 2010 Cannondale Team. I found the ride smooth, the bike accelerated when I needed it, the bike did not flex when I applied power in or off the seat and climbing was a breeze. The bike was not twitchy in the least, it corner fast and held its line in descents. The Cannondale had the standard and I found myself able to handle a steep climb easier than using my compact on my Specialized on the same climb.
I've put on close to a thousand miles so far and on my sixty mile rides the bike left me wanting to go further. I felt more refreshed after the ride than on any other bike I owned. One other side note, I don't know if its me or the bike, but riding pals are cursing me. Without me being conscious of it I end up as much as 15 minutes ahead of them without hammering, where last year we would be fairly close when we ended the ride.
Bottom line the bike is fast, stiff, comfortable and the best bike I've tried. I think my wife is jealous of it.
