Power Pump Alloy
Another great product from the Crank Brothers!
This High Pressure alloy frame pump works well with both Schrader and Presta Valves. It includes a protective carrying bracket that keeps dirt out and holds a glueless patch kit.

A GuestI am now 75 years old, have been an avid bicycle rider since my childhood and have used a lot of different frame pumps over that time --- from Silca's in the 1950's, to various Zefals in the 70's/80's, to Blackburns in the 90's/00's, etc. I submit that the Crank Brothers Alloy is clearly the best frame pump yet devised! I have used them on all my road and mountain bikes for about 8 years without a single failure. I almost look forward to a flat so I can use one of my many Crank Brothers Alloy pumps in the field. When I read a negative review about this pump I am certain it is operator error and not a pump problem. Some folks are just incompetent.

mbutenkoMany of the negative reviews you read are due to improper pump operation. However, there are no instructions and the operations isn't intuitive as you have to twist the whole pump body so the gauge faces the valve you are inflating and you don't twist the part that connects to the valve. Crank Brothers has a video on their site that explains this very well.
Pump works well for both road and mountain bike tires. I have one for road bike and mountain bike.
Mounting leaves something to be desired. It attaches with two zip ties. I would expect something better that would integrate with the mounting bosses (water bottle fittings) on the frame for better security.

dben23Love gauge and the low/high pressure mode. The dual presta/schrader head is nice since I have bikes with both valve types. The pump is small enough to stash in my camelback. However, I keep it mounted to the bike so as to not forget it. The only nit is that it slaps around at bit over bumps. A couple rubber pieces put between mounts should dampen it though.
