This is my favorite tape. There is better tape, but I ride my CX bike on mtb trails and I do crash. This tape is cheap enough to replace when it gets damaged, but good enough to work for me. I crashed into a tree and bent a set of bars, and this tape was fine except for a few cut marks. Installation is good, the tape has a good combination of stretch and strength. It can be repositioned easily. I have unwrapped to move levers, and rewrapped with this tape, although it does get a bit stretched out around the hoods. There is enough tape to tape my short shallow bars, and I like a lot of overlap on my tape. The included end tape works, try not to touch the adhesive after removing the backing. On removal the adhesive leaves very little residue, not worth cleaning off. The tape has what I would call a foam feel, it is not slick, and the grip remains consistent even when wet or muddy. It has a little bit of cushion to it, but it's not squishy. Wrapped properly the tape stays in place perfectly. I think the adhesive backing helps with that, since it is still lightly adhered when I take it off. I have double wrapped bars with this tape also. It is way better than bar ribbon, or the cheaper off brand tapes I've tried. Stretches better than cork.

This is the third time I've purchased this bar tape. It is very easy to install and lasts a long time. It is a classic Deda product. Next time I'm going to try the new DEDA ELEMENTI MISTRAL HANDLEBAR TAPE. I hate to change from something that's working so well, but life is full of adventure............

I purchased this, and wrapped it over a thin gel pad because I had been getting some tendonitis in my elbow and wanted a little extra cushion to prevent the elbow from getting worse. The tape went on tightly, is nicely cushioned, and looks great.

This is the defacto standard bar tape for me. I couldn't wait to get that fuzzy Fizik tape off. The Deda feels great, looks great, and is very durable. It is inexpensive, comes in great colors and is longer than the Fizik. I don't like the peel off back that all bar tape seems to be going towards lately. That is a small nitpick, you just have to deal with it, and everyone else does it too.

First time trying this tape. Liked it so much I ordered again for another bike.

I have been using Deda tapes since 2002 for racing, training, and touring on all of my bikes (road racing bikes, rain/training bikes, and track bike). They are easy to wrap, have good grip even in the rain, don't fade, and last a long time. I just bought some more from Tree Fort to freshen up my custom tandem. These are my go-to tapes for all of my builds.
