Holy cow. I lived for years with a crotchety rear brake. Put big Matthauser pads on it and squeezed hard. Just finished up rerouting the brakes for a new moustache bar. I though teflon cable would slick up the problem, but I didn't expect this result. My front cable is less than a foot, and my rear cable - well, it's a rear cable. I can tell no difference now between the front and rear brakes. The teflon will always be there, will always do its job, and even protects the cable from the weather. Eureka !!
