JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) refers to the type of bottom bracket the Dimension cranks use. There are 2 different types of Square taper bottom brackets JIS and ISO. These cranks use JIS which is the more common of the 2 types and they can be used with Shimano, Sugino, Suntour, FSA or Sunrace bottom brackets.
