Rebuilding your bottom bracket is a great way to increase performance through better quality bearings while saving money over replacing the whole bottom bracket.
Enduro bottom bracket bearing replacement kits use larger 5/32" ball bearings than the stock SRAM bearings to increase the net load capabilities by roughly 20%. The increase load capabilities and better dual lip seals mean these bearing should have increased durability.
SRAM's GXP bottom brackets use a tapered 22/24mm spindle. Most bottom bracket bearings simply use a spacer to reduce the 24mm ID bearing down to 22mm which adds a friction point that can cause noise if dirt or water gets between the spacer an bearing roller.
Enduro uses a thicker roller for quiet performance.
It is recommended that you use
Enduro''s bottom bracket
bearing tool to swap out the bearings. Using other tools can damage the bearing, bottom bracket cup or both.
