The Fox service guide calls for the Red 10wt oil for the 2016 rear shocks. It would be best to contact them directly as to using an oil other than what was designed to be used in it. At the very least it could cause poor performance, but it may also damage the internals.

High quality oil fix fork oil changes in some Fox forks. It’s a little pricier than grabbing something similar from the car parts store, but it works very well. The small bottle was nice too because it was a bit cheaper and I won’t have it sitting around five years later!
