Mountain Pro Alloy Backed Semi-Metallic Disc Pads for Avid Elixir

I have a set of Avid Elixir CR Brakes that would NOT stop squealing. I cleaned my stock pads and rotors many times with no luck. My next option was to change out the pads. I chose the Jagwire pads. To this day I have not heard a single squeal come out of my brakes! The power is also very good too. I have been using them for about a year.

These hold up really well in wet, muddy conditions. When others lost pads in a matter of an hour of bad conditions, I still had plenty of pad a the end. I ran Avid organic on the front and they were gone. I do get a little noise from time to time, but overall these are far and away better than any of the Avid pads - especially the organic.

Great price compared to original Avids and like another reviewer I had major squealing issues though that was with the stock sintered pads and these are "organics" or whatever they are calling the non metallic pads nowadays. Of course they will wear faster than sintered but I use them in the rear only which wears much less than fronts. For some reason the fronts(with sintered pads) never squealed at all .
