I use one of these on my road bike for my front derailleur. In terms of being easy to adjust it works just fine. The only problem is that the 4 nubs and notches that are supposed to lock the adjuster in position don't fit together very well (look in the picture and see that the nubs are much bigger than the notches). If i hit a descent amount of bumpy pavement it unscrews and i have to reach down and re-adjust. I'd say that i have to reach down and re-adjust at least once every 2 or 3 hours of riding. I can live with this for my front derailleur but it would be really annoying on the rear where precision is a lot more important.
These are designed for inline cable adjustment as the derailleur cable exits Shimano STI shifters. I repurposed them for brake cable adjustment on a touring bike with cantilevers. They fit perfectly into the recesses of the front and rear brake cable hangers. Makes brake adjustment a lot easier on cantis of all types.
