They don't seem to last quite as long as Shimano's, but very close. And I seem to be able to melt them on very long downs. But over all, I would say they are a good value, and I do recommend them

I've used Kool stop pads for a couple years now and they work well. They are quiet and last about as long as Shimano at a much better price.
The only problem I've had with these pads is that the red paint melts and sticks to the caliper. It's not difficult to get them free, but annoying.
