Esprit Mountain Pedals

For the price, you can't really beat these pedals. If you rotate the pedal while holding the spindle before you install them, then you will notice the bearings feel gritty. However, they feel smooth once attached to the crank arm and with weight applied. The outer cage grips really well even though the inner platform area is smooth and can feel slick. Because of this, I tried to see if my foot would slip, while wearing Keens, and I could not get it to slip off. I might add some skateboard grip to the inner part of the pedal though. These are my first peddles after being convinced to give up my Shimano SPD platforms (Thanks G. Peterson), and I have no regrets. I am finally comfortable and my feet no longer go numb.
