MKS GR-9 Pedals are street platform pedals with a one-piece alloy body. They're not super sharp so they work great with soft-soled street shoes. Toe clips and straps are highly recommended with these guys (single strap only). The GR-9s are completely metal and much more sturdy than cheaper plastic models. So if your a commuter looking for a more casual ride or a more traditional style fixie rider these should work out just right for you.
Weights just under 300 grams.

The platform is 78mm from the front to back of the pedal so the center of the axle to the front of the pedal is roughly 39mm

A GuestGreat pedal for a good price. Best for city, single speed riding with any street shoe. The tab on the back makes them easy to flip over and insert your foot.

sticks11111These are great for anyone who commutes in non-cycling shoes, especially soft-soled shoes, as the serrated edges of most platform pedals really do a number on them. In addition, the tab on the backs of these make them incredibly easy to get in and out of toe cages.
A few notes. First, these arrive from the factory with the bearings too tight and packed with almost no grease. Luckily, you (or your local bike shop) can open them without much trouble and pack them with grease and loosen the bearings; I definitely recommend doing this before any riding. Second, these definitely need to be accompanied by toe cages, as the platforms--for the same reasons they're easy on soft-soled shoes--have very little traction and become very slippery with any water. Finally, buyers with big feet--especially wide feet--should beware as they are fairly narrow. I wear a men's size 9 and they fit me perfectly, but I can see them being a problem for anyone with feet too much bigger.
