asked by: a guest I currently have a Giant Reign 1 - Yes it is a 2005 but it runs good. I want to replace the Manitou Nixon Platinum 145mm front fork and was wondering if this would be a good replacement for that fork. If not what fork can you suggest?
A.
anwered by: canteau You will need to find a fork with 140-150mm of travel to preserve the geometry of the frame. Unfortunately, we no longer have an option that would work for you.

asked by: a guest Can a 2.5 width tire fit on the Manitou Markhor Suspension Fork?
A.
anwered by: canteau It will depend on the tire and the width of the rim, the 26" Manitou Markhor Suspension fork has clearance for a tire that measures 60mm (2.4") at it's widest point.

Good Simple Quality fork. Modern Lightweight, 1990's Rock Shox MAG21 and Answer-Manitou were under 3lbs but between 1.5" and 1.95" inches of travel They were lighter and worked too. Now all modern forks are over 3"inches of travel and over 5lbs!!!
The Markhor are a good balance.
Long wait for backorder and stock and phone service were harsh but fork is radical dude!!!
Good price! Markhor Fork is good!
Going to buy extra parts so I dont have to worry for future upgrades or service.
