A great tire for hard pack trails,
Michelin's Country Rock features a raised shoulder tread for a wider footprint, which translates to improved stability and cornering grip. The recessed tread, with a predominantly smooth profile, speeds the Michelin Country Rock along while adding just enough variability to gain traction when needed.
- Ideal for hardpack bike trails and urban use
- Excellent cornering grip

Sansalvador9I recently switched from knobby tires on my mountain bike (Orbea Taureg) to these since all of my riding is now on paved roads. I wish I'd changed sooner. The tire's width provides the stable platform I'm familiar with, but without the friction. I'm just as comfortable sailing over potholes and through construction sites as I was on the knobbies. Have yet to try them in wet conditions, but find they corner well on steep winding asphalt downhills. The tight pattern prevents all but very tiny stones from collecting in the tread - a complaint I read in other reviews about street tires 1.5 inches or wider. These are easy to put on / take off from the rims. I like them so much I bought a second set for my other bike (Giant Iguana). Admittedly, I'd likely be as thrilled switching to any smooth tire, but I'm extremely satisfied with these.

jos...@gm...l.comSo far, so good. I haven't put a lot of miles on these yet, but I'm really happy with the performance so far--and the appearance. I put these on an old Specialized mountain-bike-turned-commuter which previously had smooth 1-1/4" tires. It's a significant switch, but I've got still got plenty of speed, a smooth ride, extra cushion--and I can actually ride this bike off road again comfortably and without worrying about slippage.

A GuestI run these on my 26" BMX bike and they see aggressive city riding. They handle curb jumps and stairs with no complaints. They're mounted on Rhyno Lite rims. I have no complaints and I'll buy the same pair next time.

harrison.walschIve used this tire as my commute tire for a good while, the tire has great puncture resistance and has resilient side walls.
However on some road surfaces like re-surfaced parking lots or roads it tends to slip on aggressive turning, serious pedaling or when its plain wet. Great on concrete!
It is also best to avoid gravel (Obviously) and loose dirt.
TL;DR: Good urban tire, poor off-road tire

A GuestGreat commuting tires, easily get over 2K (really think I got 3000 ) out of the tires with hard stopping. No flat protection but I had only one using these tires in NYC commuting. This is my second set they would be even better if they were really reflective.
