The MicroShift R9 is a value orient replacement front derailleur for Shimano 9-speed road drivetrains that Shimano no longer offers service parts for. The body of the R9 front derailleur is made from forged aluminum with a chromed steel chain guide plate. The R9 Front Derailleur clamp is compatible with 34.9mm and 31.8 seat tubes.

The microSHIFT R9 Front Derailleur will not work with Shimano GRX, currently the only front derailleurs that work with the Shimano GRX group are Shimano's GRX due to the wider gear range.
