pmo...@gm...l.comLove it. I'm using it in friction mode with a ten speed at the moment, but when that wears out, it should work with an 11 spd drivetrain in index mode too.
Bikes and their components should be simple, durable, easy to repair and fault tolerant - like these shifters. The ability to use it in friction mode makes your bike more reliable. A bent derailleur hanger or a dirty drivetrain isn't a big deal. You can change a cable on the side of the road without a problem. Also, seperating the functions of shifting and braking makes your bike more robust. If you break a brifter, you lose both shifting and braking and can expect an expensive repair. If you have separate shifting and braking mechanisms, you are less likely to lose both at once and they are both easier and cheaper to maintain.
