Recently purchased a new bike with 1x12 SRAM Eagle cassete and trigger shifters and really could not get used to that setup. I typically use bar end's friction shifters on all of my 2x6 speed bikes so decided to convert over to this thumbie shifter on the new bike. What an improvement in overall shifting.. plus the visual indicator of the shft lever posistion let's me know at a quick glance which gear I am running. I had planned on running this in friction mode but it works so well indexed that I have just kept running like that with the added piece of mind knowing I can switch over to friction if I am out on a multi-day ride and have issues.
