I'm trying to convert a 3x8 to a 1x8. Will this work with an 8 speed rear?
A.
anwered by: mlewis
Yes, just keep in mind the chainring may wear a bit quicker due to extra play with an 8 speed chain.

What does 104 bdc mean
A.
anwered by: mlewis
That is the Bolt Center Diameter, how chainrings are measured to fit cranks. Feel free to call us directly at 734.484.9999 if you need more help.

The chainring on this crank will definitely work with a 10-speed chain for 1x10?

Would this work with a 10 speed chain? 1-10 set up.
A.
anwered by: bkearns
As long as you're running 1x10, this chainring should be just fine. It is not, however, ramped and pinned so it won't play well with others if you try to make it shift in a double or triple crank setup.

Will this chain ring fit on a Truvative Stylo 1.1 crank?
A.
anwered by: canteau
The Stylo 1.1 should be a 4-bolt 104 setup which is required for this chainring.

will this chain ring fit on a shimano crank?
A.
anwered by: bkearns
The Niner Ring is compatible with most Shimano 4-bolt crank systems, as long as you've got a slot for a ring with a 104 BCD.

chasebobcatThe Niner chainring is a good looking piece of hardware. Bolted right up to my XTR cranks with no issues. The aluminum is very light weight, but I'm not sure how long it will last compared to my last Surly stainless chainring.
