tay...@gm...l.comPlease don't use a soda can as a shim. Nitto sells one that's decently made and QC'd for $10.
Or you can use a 25.4 stem-- Nitto stopped making the technomic in 25.4, but there are still plenty of old 25.4 clamp stems out there.
These bars are nice and comfy. They sweep out from the clamp and then back towards the rider to put your hands in a nice, slightly angled ergonomic position that's good for long rides. Because they sweep out, your hands will end up near where the stem clamp is, so account for that when you're considering stem length. Also be aware that the riding position will not be as upright as with other cruiser bars (moustache, etc.) because the sweep back is not THAT far. They are not as wide as most mtb bars, and there is ONE hand position with these bars (the ends). That is not a criticism, just something to consider.
A great value for a really well-made bar.
