A GuestLove these pedals. Used to ride bmx with them; very grippy and durable. I have them on my commuter road bike with some homemade nylon velco pedal straps. The ywork great for commuting and riding fire trails. They may not be common on road bikes besides the hipster fix gear crowd, but I like them for pure functionality.

bjo...@gm...l.comI was a BMX rider long ago. I now ride road bikes mostly, but these pedals are perfect for singlespeed commuter townie type bikes. They don't cost alot, but if BMX riders like em, and they hold up to that kind of abuse, then they should hold up to urban riding. I ride clipless on my other bikes, but I like these without any straps for just kicking around doing errands and riding to bars and stuff like that. I'm no hipster, but these work for me. There are other similar pedals out there, but I think these look the best.
