The German-made Front Rollers are a classic, time-tested front pannier, equally at home with ambitious loaded touring as with errands about town. Their small size permits several possible uses: as a standard front pannier; on a children's bike; or as a small rear pannier. When mounted on front racks, both bags are hung in a pair on the left and right side of your wheel, optimizing weight distribution. Front Rollers are designed to be robust and durable. The PVC-coated polyester fabric provides an ample, waterproof luggage casing, with a roll-top closure to ensure that items inside stay dry. These panniers use Ortlieb''s QL2 mounting system, which is easy to use without sacrificing strength and stability: simply lift and release the bag handle to adjust the mount closures securely around your rear rack. Concerned about front rack compatibility? No problem. Front Rollers have two adjustment points for customizing a secure fit: 1. At the hooks that mount on the top of the rack railing, reduction shims are included so that 16mm, 11mm, and 8mm size rails may be accommodated; 2. At the lower rail of your front rack, the Front Roller can be affixed by laterally adjusting the sliding hook found at the bottom of the bag. Durable, customizable, and secure, the Front Rollers should be the first and last front panniers you''ll ever need.

While we obviously haven't tried these on every rack out there, you should be fine as long as your rack has an upper and lower attachment point for the panniers.

Good bags, and not as heavy as the travel panniers. These are among the best available, able to withstand a monsoon. The only annoyance is the lack of strap and buckle adjustment. The mount system is the best I've seen, with the QL2 brackets being replaceable. In nicer weather, the bags can be left unrolled to hold a large amount of stuff, with a bungee wrapped around at the top for more stability (branches/firewood haha).
