The Paul Thumbies are the best way to add a bar end shifters to the tops of a flat mountain bar. They offer a light way to get convient positioning for shifters previously not available for flat bars. This is a great way to retro out your bike and keep things ultra simple.

These thumbies are great. I switched my Surly LHT to riser bars for comfort reasons and was not crazy about using mtb index shifters. I found these and tried them out on the bar end shifters that came with my LHT and love them so far. I leave my rear shifter in friction only and love it! I did have to shim the thumbies as my riser bar was narrower, but that was no big deal. Delivery was very fast too and tfb even threw in a free tfb logo pint glass. Awesome extra for Christmas! thanks guys. Try these, you'll love them.

These shifter mounts to move your bar end shifters to the top of your bars do the job. The work especially well when used with Cane Creek Cross Top in brake levers. My set-up with Dura Ace 9 speed shifter works flawlessly on my Monster Cross set-up. These shift so well with elegant simplicity and durablility my next mountain bike will be set up with them too.
