Will this fit a dt swiss 240s front hub? I'm seeing online that the 6903 bearings fit, but I'm seeing two different sizes for the 6903 bearings: 30mm by 18mm by 7mm and also 30mm by 17mm by 7mm. I'm a bit confused by why these different Internal Diameter sizes are both associated with 6903 bearings.

The DT Swiss 240s front hub needs an alternate version of the 6903 that has an 18mm ID, the standard 6903 has a 17mm ID. We do carry the bearings for the Dt Swiss 240s front hub and they can be found here by searching for part # 333222425692

Depending on the version of the SRAM X9 hub these may or may not fit. It looks like thru-axle version of the X9 hub do use the 6903 bearing.
