Keep it safe with the Blaze, built specifically for the commuter needing a bright, dependable, and safe light. Excellent for illumination the road ahead in dark situations.
Tool-free installation makes it extremely easy to take on and off, and a quick-release clasp allows you to take the light off the bike without hassle when locking the bike up in public.

Robert_DetjenThe best and brightest headlight I found that uses AA batteries. This light is brighter than my old 7.2v light, and I can stop at any store and get replacement batteries if I've forgotten to charge mine. My 2300Mah rechargeables have gone for 4 hours on full without dimming - so I have no idea yet how long they'll last.
The mount is light weight, and not exactly rugged - but for road or trail riding it's proven sturdy enough. I wouldn't use it on an unsuspended downhill racer unless I was packing it during the day and just using it to light the trail for the way home.

Wasp48OK for commuting in dusk or partial darkness but not enough beam for total darkness

rodbreaultLED's have come a long way. I think I can ride with this light safely at 12-14 MPH at night. I previously owned the 1 watt and this is much brighter. The lugs on battery compartment on the 1 watt unit failed and it is useless now. The construction of this one is the same so I expect it will fail, too. Planet bike, take note. The clamp is kind of mickey mouse too, but works, awkwardly. But, for the price, a lot of light and useable as a very bright flashlight, too

nmgadbGreat light! In my opinion, the bar mount isn't the greatest, but it works well enough; its not that its poorly constructed, it just doesn't lock into place well on all of my bikes handlebars.

A GuestThis is a great light and good prices too. I now own 3 of them and that should say it all :) oh and to other review that says they want the option of extra brackets, they are available and also the helmet mounts. You just gotta search the net.

A GuestA bright light that works well for my commute to and from work.
Assembly is quick and worked well, contrary to some of the reviews out there.
The beam is strong to shine well ahead. The size of the spot could be a touch bigger and wider towards the sides, but for the price you get a bright light that works well. Anything bigger you will have to spend a few hundreds to be happy.

jim...@ma...c.comI ride about 160 miles per week during all weather conditions and at many times of the day. In the early morning before the sun comes up I can easily ride up to 21 mph through hilly country roads and see everything great on high beam. During cloudy days or rain I turn on the flasher mode just to be sure everyone knows I am there... And they do. I have had a couple cyclist friends that have commented on how well they can see me with this light on. Makes me feel more responsible for taking extra measures for safety. I also own the 1 watt version but found I was outriding the light at about 16 mph on hilly pothole filled country roads. Love the ease of use, mounting system and how long the batteries last.

A GuestGood bright light for a very good price. It would be nice to have the option of buying extra brackets. I have my commuter bike and another that I ride my young daughter in a rear seat.
As usual the experience of buying with Tree Fort Bikes was a great one. I bought this right before Xmas and got it in 3 days!

A GuestThis things is bright! I have even used it around the house in lieu of a flashlight. Great for those dark commutes home that are coming soon.
What it didn't work out for as well was touring. There is a section of time at night where you want to have some flashing light going for cars to see you but you don't really need the light to see. During those times you feel really stupid using this really bright light that drains batteries faster than a dimmer version. On our bike tour we got around this by bringing along one Blaze 2W and one Beamer 3 (dimmer but better battery life).
