A GuestThis thing is great! As a commuter, I load the milk crate on my rear rack and the bike stays solidly upright. With my old Pletscher single stand, I was still looking for a place to lean my machine against to load and unload. Now I can park most anywhere, just mindful of wind gust and lock-up opportunities.
The aluminum is easy enough to cut to length with a standard hacksaw, but do not cut it too short! Cut it twice if you have to to get it right 'cause you gotta live with the consequences. Cut with both legs closed together for a neat job. I dressed the cut edges with a file. The scrap is aluminum--recycle it with your Bronson cans.
Though the design is to kick it up from the port side, I park close to a building to lock up to a gas supply pipe and so kick it up from the starboard side (the right side) almost as easily.
Tree Fort's price is very good! I bought mine right here several months ago. Next to my milk crate, this is the most useful accessory I have yet to have screwed onto my 32 year-old Raleigh!

greenth7Pletscher kick stands are awesome; the two-legged stand is perfect for pannier-fitted bicycles as it eases load distribution while parked%u2013perfectly balanced.

A GuestExcellent kickstand and price offered by Tree Fort Bikes. I added a few inches of extension to the kickstand and I basically have a built in bike work stand. Really handy when you are on the road and need to make derailleur adjustments. Wonderful for fixing rear flat tire.

A GuestOverall, this kickstand is great. While there is no mechanism for height adjustment, it is designed to be cut to size with markings on the legs to make it easier (the same as all the old single-leg Pletschers). Having owned other dual-kicks, I found this model to be the lightest; and it certainly has a great slim & classic appearance. The action is smooth and it locks into place well. I would recommend highly, but get it on sale!
