Matte finish holds them in place well. I micrometer'ed them and they were exactly the thickness required to boost from 25.4 to 26mm. (0.3mm each) Such an improvement over the 3 layers of aluminum can I had in there prior... Aluminum cans are made so thin these days that it takes multiple layers to fill the gap. (plus they don't have the gripping properties of the matte finish)
