Giant is one of the only companies to use 1 1/4 stems and steerers with their overdrive system as standard. But, there are no options to use a stem of that size on a 1in steerer. Definitely would look at getting a more standard stem, even if it need a 1 1/8 adapter.

It will not, it is designed only for threadless stems. I would suggest looking at the Profile Design quill to threadless adapter to give your self the widest range of stem options.

Yes. Works fantastic. I use a little grease to hold in place. After install h/bar and shim, you can use small pick to adjust shim halves perfectly.
