Fat Rear Wheel DT Swiss Big Ride 350/ Surly Other Brother Darryl

Each Quality Wheel is laced and trued in Bloomington, Mn using the latest technology and old school handcraftsmanship to some of the tightest build standards in the industry. This Quality Wheels Fat Front Wheel features a DT Swiss Big Ride 350 front hub laced to the tubeless ready Surly Other Brother Darryl rim with DT Swiss Competition spokes.

The DT Swiss Big Ride 350 hub is designed to work with 12x197mm frame which are commonly found on most modern fat bikes including the Salsa Mukluk, Surly Ice Cream Truck, Specialized Fat Boy, Cannondale Fat CAAD and Trek Farley. This hub cannot be converted to work with 12x177mm frames, but can be converted to Q/Rx190mm. The DT Swiss Big Ride 350 hub is designed to work with CenterLock rotors and can be adapted to work with 6-bolt rotors using the DT Swiss 6-Bolt adaptor found here. The DT Swiss Big Ride 350 rear hub is compatible with SRAM XD cassettes with an optional conversion kit that is available here and will work with Shimano 8-10-speed mountain and road Shimano and SRAM cassettes and Shimano 11-speed mountain cassettes out of the box.

Surly Other Brother Darryl rim is the latest in a long line of Surly fat bike rims and is the first Surly fat bike rim to be tubeless ready. To set up the Surly Other Brother Darryl rim tubeless, Surly offers a kit that includes everything you need minus the sealant that can be found here. The Other Brother Darryl rim has an outer width of 85mm and is equally suited for 4" or 5" tires.
