Nipple Cream

Nipple Cream appears to be a type of wax suspended in a volatile solvent; think White Lightning. This is totally different from Wheelsmith's SpokePrep that dries to a semi-crusty solid. I tried it on two wheels and its performance during build is at least acceptable, even if its application is a bit messy. Nevertheless, normal chain oil does as well so in this regard Nipple Cream is not differentiated. The long-term performance report of whether it helps in subsequent truing will have to wait, although the wax sealing up space between the spoke and nipple can be potentially beneficial.
